2017 Recap
As we start 2018 we wanted to take a look back at everything 2017 had to offer.
First we found out we were pregnant with a little girl and took a baby moon to New York City (ok that was technically 2016). Now here's the big events of 2017!
Amelia was born April 4th, 2017!
After Amelia was born we were blessed with visiting grandparents and other adventures:
Sadie loved snuggling Amelia
Brandi cooked an amazing Easter dinner which we celebrated with her parents in town
A trip to Tulip Town
One of our many walks on a sunny Seattle day, Amelia logged hundreds of miles in her stroller
On a whim we decided to take a ferry out to Orcas Island, we were fortunate to get home as the ferries booked up quickly
A perfect wheat beer to compliment the incredible view at Orcas Island
While on Orcas Island we found a new meaning of "farm to table" at Buck Bay Shellfish farm. The water these oysters were harvested was about 300 feet from where we were eating.
Fathers day 2017 - a trip to the flight museum
The flight museum was right up Matt's alley (pictured is JFK's Air Force One)
Rebekah and Jared came to visit in July getting to see Amelia for the first time
Matt's parents came to visit as well and took us to the Terracotta Warriors exhibit at the Pacific Science Center
In August , The Porters, family friends of ours came to visit. We went to the Chihuly Glass Museum
and visited many parks along the way
Next month we took a trip to Germany and Austria!
Visiting Rottenburg for the day
Christmas market in Rottenburg
Delectable German desserts
Wouldn't be Germany without a selection of delicious brats
Neuschenwanstein Castle
The gardens in Salzburg
The famous glockenspiel in Munich
Enjoying a beer at the world famous Hoffbrauhaus
Amelia enjoyed the plane ride a little too much
Halloween was just around the corner after we got home from Germany. Brandi showed off her creative prowess and sewed Amelia's costume
After Halloween we visited the Infinity Mirrors Exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. It was a long line but well worth the wait
The next month we traveled back to Texas to see our families. Once again all the cousins tried to take a photo and the results were pretty funny
and to end the year, we spent the entire month of December trying to get into the Christmas spirit:
Brandi and Amelia at Hunters Tree Farm picking out a Christmas tree
Amelia loves the lights
Matt and Amelia picking out a Christmas Tree
We took Amelia to Snow Flake Lane in Bellevue
Amelia's first pictures with Santa
We enjoyed a white Christmas ve and morning
Champagne on Christmas eve
Brandi giving Amelia Christmas morning kisses in their matching pajamas
Amelia playing with her new toys
Here's to an even better 2018!
